Born in 1605, died after 1654 (1673?).
In 1630 he became a member of the Guild of Antwerp. First publisher of Van Dyck's Iconography. He was an important figure in Antwerp until the mid 1650s. Brother-in-law of Pieter de Jode II (q.v.). Father of only son Martinus II.
