Riggs 1977, p. 261: The left half of this plate corresponds to a drawing in the second Heemskerck sketchbook in Berlin (fol. 84 v., Hülsen-Egger II), which is identified as the Baths of Diocletian by Hülsen and Egger. The inscription on this plate, therefore, is probably an error. Labelled 'second view of the Baths of Caracalle (Antoninus Pius)', it precedes the 'first view of the Baths of Caracalla'.
