Annotatie
This series, comprising monographs and edited volumes, explores two dimensions of intercultural and transcultural encounters. It focuses on the dimension of contact between different persons and groups as it takes place, for example, in disputations and in situations connected with communication and translation. It also explores transmission of the results of contact, such as books, reports, translations, and oral stories. Studies in this series examine people and regions, religions and cultures, and their transformations in all parts of Europe between Late Antiquity and the early modern period, as well as in Asia and the Americas in the early years following their initial encounter with Europe.
