Orginal manuscript of Leges Palatinae written for King Jacobus III of Majorca in 1337. Jacobus III gave the manuscript to Philippe VI, King of France. His heir, John II gave the book to his second son: Philippe of Bourgogne. It then remained in the library of Duke of Burgundy until Isabelle of Bourbon gave it to Guillaume de la Baume (f. 79v: coat of arms of Guillaume de la Baume and "Ce livre cy est a nnoble et puissant Seigneur Messire Guillaume de la Baume, Seigneur dillems chevalier donneur de Madame la duchesse de Bourgogne")
Afterwards, the manuscript came to the Jesuits in Roermond (f. 1r: "Colllegium societatis Jesu Ruraemondanum"). In 1620, the manuscript is in possession of the Jesuits of Antwerp and the Bollandists (f. 1r: "Domus Professae Societatis Jesu Antverpiae"). In 1773, the volume came into the collection of the Library of Burgundy. In 1794, the book is seized by the French troops and sent to the Bibliothèque nationale in Paris (see red estampille on f. 1r and 79v) and came back in 1815.
This manuscript does not appear in any inventory of the Library of the Dukes of Burgundy, or in the list of the manuscripts of the Jesuits in Antwerp published by Sanderus in Bibliotheca Belgica manuscripta
