The Journal of contemporary African studies is an interdisciplinary biannual publication of research and writing in the human sciences - economics, political science, international affairs, military strategy, demography, social anthropology, literature, development studies and related fields -and seeks to promote a scholarly understanding of developments and change in Africa.
